Our Story

Every collection in this house has a name. Every name is someone we love.

House of Bon Temps was created from our life, our family, and the things that helped us keep going.

We are Lisa and Israel Bonton, husband and wife, co-founders, and the hearts behind the brand. Rooted in Louisiana, this house carries the warmth of Southern family care into products chosen for everyday wellness, beauty, grooming, and meaningful support.

Lisa's Story: The Heart of the House

The heart of this brand was shaped by my journey as a multiple myeloma survivor.

Walking through diagnosis, treatment, and rebuilding changed what wellness meant to me. It stopped being about products and started being about paying attention: to my body, to what I put on it and in it, to the quiet routines that helped me feel like myself again. Cancer taught me that caring for yourself is not vanity. It is stewardship.

When I came through that season, I wanted to build something that helped other people care for themselves the way my family taught me to. So I filled this house with the names I love most. My grandmother. My mother. My daughter. And Israel's brother, Johnny.

The Name: From Bon Temps to Bonton

For Israel, this house carries deep family meaning. The Bonton name traces back to French Louisiana and the phrase "bon temps," meaning good times. Over generations, Bon Temps became Bonton, but the meaning never left the name: family, joy, culture, and resilience.

Good times do not just happen. They are made, by people who choose joy even after hard seasons. That is what this house was named for.

Our Symbol: The Magnolia

The magnolia is part of our brand because it feels like home. Soft, but not weak. Elegant, but deeply rooted. We believe beauty and strength can exist together, and the magnolia proves it every spring.

Johnny Bleu's Original
Israel's brother Johnny was known for his confidence, his style, and a presence you did not forget. They called him Bleu for the way he carried himself. A beard never came easy to him. Persistent skin irritation made growing and keeping one difficult, but it never touched his style or his sense of who he was.

Israel has always worn a beard, and after Johnny's passing, he created this collection to honor his brother while helping other men care for their beard and the skin beneath it. What began as a tribute became a full grooming collection built on comfort, quality, and the belief that every man deserves to feel confident in his own skin.

Beet Cancer Collective
Born from Lisa's multiple myeloma journey. During her recovery, beets became her symbol of nourishment, strength, and choosing wellness on purpose, and the name stuck. This collection is survivor led, faith centered, and practical: encouragement and tools like the Courage Planner for fighters, survivors, caregivers, and the people who love them. It also makes one of the most meaningful gifts you can give a warrior.

Held to a Higher Standard

Every product that carries the House of Bon Temps name has to earn its place. We look for clean formulations, honest ingredient lists, thoughtful sourcing, and quality manufacturing partners, then we ask one more question: would we give this to our own family? If the answer is no, it does not enter the house.

We do not make medical claims. We do not publish fake reviews. We keep our promises small and our care large.

Come On In

This is House of Bon Temps, where heritage meets restoration and good times still have meaning.
