In Their Honor: Fall in Love with The Pink Collective

Breast Cancer Awareness Month | October 2026
By Lisa Davis Bonton, Co-Founder of House of Bon Temps

This October, I'm honoring two women whose memory stays close to my heart: my Aunt Joan and Aunt Peggy.

Two of my mother's sisters were diagnosed with breast cancer. Both passed away from the disease. Their absence is still felt in our family, and I want to remember them for the lives they lived and the love we shared.

For Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2026, House of Bon Temps is featuring The Pink Collective from Beet Cancer Collective, with 26% off eligible collection items in their honor.

The number 26 is a nod to 2026, a year in which I'm choosing to keep their memory present and encourage women to make time for their health.

Why This Is Personal

As a multiple myeloma survivor, I know how deeply a cancer diagnosis can change your life. My experience was different from my aunts', but it gives me a personal connection to the uncertainty families face and the importance of showing up for one another.

One way I honor my aunts is by getting checked and making my health a priority. I also encourage other women to talk with their healthcare providers about their family history and the screening plan that is right for them. Personal and family health history can affect breast cancer screening recommendations (National Cancer Institute).

For me, remembrance includes taking care of the life I have today.

Pink With a Personal Meaning

At House of Bon Temps, we bring our family stories into what we build. The Pink Collective carries that same intention.

It is dedicated to Aunt Joan and Aunt Peggy, to women living with breast cancer, to survivors, and to families remembering someone they love.

A pink piece can be a small expression of support. The conversations and care behind it matter, too: checking on a friend, offering a ride to an appointment, listening without trying to fix everything, or making time for your own care.

An Invitation for October

This fall, fall in love with our pink collective.

In honor of my aunts and Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2026, enjoy 26% off eligible items in The Pink Collective. Use code PINK26 at checkout on the pink jacket, the Light Pink hoodie, and the Pink dad hat.

As you browse, I hope you'll think of someone you want to encourage or remember. I hope you'll also give yourself permission to put your health on the calendar.

To Aunt Joan and Aunt Peggy: you are loved, missed, and remembered. I'm grateful to honor you through something our family is building.
